(KMOV) -- There is controversy brewing over a coffin found near Missouri Democrat Russ Carnahan's yard on Sunday night after the health care reform bill vote.
According to Politico.com, the coffin was left on Carnahan’s lawn after a prayer service held by the local Tea Party organization.
On the St. Louis Tea Party's website, one organizer says the Politico.com report is false, that the coffin was not on his lawn and that it wasn't meant to be a threat. Instead, it was part of a mock funeral that members held.
That organizer says they were mourning the loss of freedom in America.
Meanwhile, the FBI is investigating death threats and acts of vandalism against ten democrats who voted for the reform.
Democrats and Republicans are condemning the behavior.
