(KMOV) -- The Granite City Police Department charged three men on Wednesday in connection with recent robberies in the Granite City area.
Xavier Williams, Darnell Dixon and Lamont Gregory, all 18 years old, have four charges filed against them: one count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and one count of Armed Robbery for three different robberies.
No one was injured during the robberies, but a weapon was displayed each time.
During the investigation of an armed robbery at a Granite City Step N Go convenience store on Saturday, a possible car description tipped police off to suspects. Police spotted this car on Tuesday, and found a loaded weapon in the car along with other pieces of evidence linking the occupants to the Step N Go Robbery.
The suspects were taken into custody, and investigators were later able to link the three occupants to two other armed robberies in Granite City in December.
Their bond is set at $300,000. This investigation continues, and police said more charges could be filed later this week.
