WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden says today's bill-signing event at the White House was a "big deal."
Actually, he said more than that. He threw in a word -- a well-known profanity -- in between "big" and "deal."
And because he made the comment to President Barack Obama -- amid the applause greeting Obama before his comments in the White House East Room -- it was picked up by microphones.
The White House isn't trying to distance itself from the latest of Biden's verbal slips.
Press Secretary Robert Gates, in a "tweet" on the social networking site Twitter, said, "And yes, Mr. Vice President, you're right."
