Alton man charged for allegedly having child pornography on flash drive

 (KMOV)-- An Alton man has been charged for allegedly having child pornography on his flash drive.

 Stanton Holliday, 34, has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated child pornography.

Authorities said Holliday allegedly came into the library at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL Friday morning looking for a flash drive. Holliday asked the library worker if anyone had turned in a flash drive from one of the computers. Holliday described the flash drive. A flash drive belonging to Holliday had been turned in to the lost and found on the previous day.

Authorities said while verifying that Holliday owned the flash drive images of child pornography was found on the flash drive. Holliday denied ownership and went to a computer in the library. The worker notified college security personnel and police were contacted.

Police met with Holliday in the library and eventually took him into custody. The flash drive was seized as evidence.

Holliday is currently in custody at the Madison County Jail with a bond of $75,000.
