ST. LOUIS (AP) -- One of two former St. Louis cops accused of stealing has been sentenced to probation.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that 25-year-old Christian A. Brezill was sentenced Friday in federal court in St. Louis for a single charge of theft of government property. He and co-defendant Ronald H. Jackson pleaded guilty in December.
Prosecutors said Jackson and Brezill stole a computer, television and other merchandise during a traffic arrest. The arrest occurred in July. The person arrested was cooperating with authorities.
The department fired Brezill in September, while Jackson retired under charges in October.
Jackson could face 10 to 16 months in prison when he is sentenced next month.
