(KMOV) -- A woman is dead, a man is in critical condition and a 16-year-old is in custody after an overnight carjacking and wreck in north St. Louis.
According to St. Louis police, officers were in the area of W. Florissant and Harris when they saw a Mazda MX6 that had been reportedly taken in a carjacking last week.
The officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop. At W. Florissant and College the driver went through a stop sign and hit a Chevrolet Camaro. Angela Robertson, 20, was driving the Camaro and was killed in the crash. A 22-year-old man in the car with Robertson is in critical condition.
The 16-year-old suspect was transported to a local hospital. He suffered a broken nose and a fractured spine.
Since the suspect is a juvenile any charges against him will come through the Juvenile Court.
Authorities have not said where the car was stolen from and they are not releasing many details about the case.
