CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson will play in its third straight NCAA tournament and try and break its first-round losing streak against Missouri.
The Tigers (21-10) come into the NCAAs having lost their final two games. They have lost their opening games in their last three appearances and have not won an opening game since reaching the round of 16 in 1997.
Still, coach Oliver Purnell matched the feat of ex-Tiger coach Rick Barnes in bringing the team to its third consecutive appearance.
The all-Tiger matchup will take place Friday in Buffalo, N.Y., as part of the East Regional.
