(KMOV) -- Soles4Souls and Gene's Shoes joined forces to bring shoes to victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
Gene's Shoes supported Soles4Souls’ commitment to donate more than 1 million pairs of shoes to earthquake affected areas by hosting a shoe drive January 30th through February 13th. During that two week period over 1400 pairs of shoes were collected. They were sent to Soles4Souls where they will be shipped to Haiti and distributed to those in need.
Gene's Shoes would like to thank everyone who donated shoes and helped us in having a very successful event. A special thank you to Boy Scout troop 975, who graciously volunteered to organize, pack, and load the donated shoes. Gene’s Shoes appreciates their time and effort devoted to this worthwhile project.
