Cardinals Spring Training: Lineups set for today's Nationals at Cards game

Jupiter, Fla (KMOV) - First baseman Albert Pujols is back in the line-up after missing the trip to Fort Myers due to an aggravated lower back.

Pujols will hit in the three spot in what looks like the most complete lineup the Cardinals have had this Spring.

Pujols originally was slotted to play first base, but management didn't want to take any risk so he will bat designated hitter.

Manager Tony La Russa said this morning that he hopes Pujols will bat at least two times and that they will check him after at-bat to see how his back is feeling.

In other news, a familiar face for Cardinals fans will be playing today at Roger Dean Stadium.

Ex-Cardinal Chris Duncan, son of Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan, will hit in the three spot for the Washington Nationals when they play the Cardinals today at 1:05 p.m.

Traded last year to Boston for SS Julio Lugo after two injury-riddles seasons with the Cardinals, Duncan's departure from St. Louis was well documented. Duncan's struggles continued with the Red Sox's AAA affiliate Pawtucket, as they released him in August.

Duncan's trying to revive his Major League career by earning a spot on the Nationals' roster.
