Police searching for suspect after shooting in north St. Louis

 

 (KMOV)-- Police are searching for a suspect after a shooting in north St. Louis.

This happened around 7 p.m. Monday in the 4700 block of Ashland.

The victim told police she was outside her home when the suspect started shooting in her direction. She attempted to run inside her house but felt a sharp pain in her leg. The suspect fled east on Ashland in a red Ford Explorer with several other people in the car. The car was later located, but the suspect was not.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and listed in stable condition.

The victim was described as a black male, early 20s, around 5'7 and 130 lbs, wearing a read baseball cap, white t-shirt, black vest and blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing.
