OLD MONROE, Mo. (AP) -- An accident at an eastern Missouri haunted house sent a customer to the hospital with an arm injury.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says a worker at the Cobb Factory Haunted House accidentally fired a .45-caliber handgun Friday night when the patron tugged on the worker's costume.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the gun barrel was against the victim's arm when the weapon fired a blank cartridge.
The 19-year-old victim underwent surgery at a St. Charles hospital for a damaged artery.
He is expected to make a full recovery.
