CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Saturday's game between Michigan and Illinois could be a little like old times for Wolverine running back Carlos Brown. He started his first game two seasons ago against Illinois in Champaign.
But the senior and the Wolverines (5-3, 1-3 Big Ten) are looking forward to their date with the Illini for more than the chance to reminisce. They need a win to secure bowl eligibility.
Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez says his team also remembers last year's 45-20 loss to Illinois in Ann Arbor. That provides extra motivation.
The Illini are looking to end a five-game losing streak.
Illinois center Eric Block says the team just wants to get its first Big Ten win and get out of what he calls a bad spot.
