A methamphetamine laboratory that once operated out of a trailer behind a two-story frame house in Glen Carbon is at the heart of a criminal case against the man who owned the property.
The house was at 3450 Route 157, just south of Interstate 270. Behind it was the dilapidated brown and white recreational vehicle where several former meth users testified recently in Associate Judge James Hackett's courtroom that methamphetamine was cooked.
Prosecutors charged the property's owner, Richard "Butch" Taylor, with possession of more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of methamphetamine.
