Police: Two Sunday night robberies may be related

MAPLEWOOD, Mo. (KMOV) - Police think a suspect who made off with cash after robbing a fuel station in Maplewood may have robbed another station in Rock Hill.

Police said on Sunday afternoon the suspect entered the Maplewood Conoco Fuel Mart in the 3600 block of Big Bend at approximately 11:13 p.m.? He pulled a bandana over his face as he approached the cashier, displayed a gun and demanded cash.?

?The cashier placed the cash drawer on the counter.? The suspect removed an undisclosed amount of money then fled on foot.

?The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a lean build.? He was wearing pink gloves and a bulky tan-colored jacket with an emblem on the left side.

?At approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, the Conoco Service Station on Manchester Road in Rock Hill had a similar incident with a matching description of the suspect.? Police say they believe the two incidents are related.
