ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A 45-year-old woman was killed Saturday evening in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70, the state highway patrol said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Yolinda M. Rogers was hit by a vehicle around 7:15 p.m. on I-70 just west of Interstate 170 near Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
Rogers was walking on the right side of the roadway when she was hit. The driver of the vehicle left the scene, the patrol said.
Police shut down a portion of eastbound I-70 in the immediate area for nearly five hours while an accident reconstruction team investigated.
