BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- A former All-America running back at MacMurray College must serve two and a half years of probation after admitting he had sex with a girl in 2006 and filmed it.
Twenty-nine-year-old Steven Ballinger of Fairview Heights pleaded guilty on Wednesday to St. Clair County charges of child pornography and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Prosecutors dropped two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and a charge Ballinger possessed cocaine.
Authorities say Ballinger had sex with a girl who was then 12. Ballinger now is barred from contact with the victim and must register as a sex offender.
Ballinger held the career rushing record at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, where he was a Division II All-America selection in 2001 and 2002.
