ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A former executive at St. Louis-based Nestle Purina Petcare has pleaded guilty to mail fraud for defrauding the company of $229,000.
The guilty plea was Friday for 41-year-old Thomas Faulkner of O'Fallon, Ill. He faces sentencing Jan. 10, and restitution is mandatory. Faulkner paid $100,000 on Friday as part of the restitution.
Faulkner was group account director for Nestle Purina Petcare from 2005 until June 17. Reap says Faulkner created false bills and invoices and submitted them to the company as legitimate expenses.
He used the money for such things as trips to Disney World and college football games.
