Clash with law wasn't the first

Police say a Dorsey woman allegedly cracked her boyfriend over the head with a glass Crock-Pot lid and bit a deputy who tried to arrest her.

Mary F. Gibaldi, 46, is being held at the Madison County Jail on $60,000 bail. She was charged with one count of aggravated domestic battery and one count of aggravated battery. Both are felonies.

A man who identified himself as Gibaldi's boyfriend called the Madison County Sheriff's Department at 8:10 a.m. on Monday to report that Gibaldi had struck him on the head with a Crock-Pot lid inside Gibaldi's home at 4634 Seiler Road, according to Brad Wells, chief of detectives for the Madison County Sheriff's Department. The victim, a 25-year-old male, reportedly suffered a cut to his head. As Deputy Lora Acra was placing Gibaldi under arrest, Gibaldi bit her on the leg, according to the charge.
