ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The Secret Service has announced a new partnership to combat computer crimes.
The federal agency said Wednesday it will host the initial meeting of the Gateway Electronic Crimes Task Force. The public-private partnership consists of law enforcement agencies, businesses and academia.
The cybercrime task force will cover eastern Missouri and joins a network of similar ones throughout the world.
The first meeting is 9 a.m. to noon Friday at a St. Louis hotel.
