Illini falter again despite QB change

The boo birds were out by the late minutes of the second quarter Saturday, growing to full force by the time the Illinois football team trotted off the field at halftime.

For the second straight game, the Illini left fans disappointed and dissatisfied, dropping their homecoming game to Michigan State, 24-14.

"Things aren't going the way we need them to go," Illinois head coach Ron Zook said. "We just need to fight through these things. Right now it's a hard time and it's a hard game, but that's something that we need to get corrected."
