(KMOV) – A two-alarm fire Monday afternoon at the old Steelcote complex in south St. Louis produced thick plumes of smoke that could be seen from miles away.
The fire happened at Gratiot and Theresa, near Grand and Chouteau.
Workers doing demolition work noticed the fire and made it out of the building safely.
The cause of the fire is not clear.
