(KMOV) -- A 17-year-old student was charged Thursday with bringing a gun to Park Hills Central High School.
Authorities said on Wednesday Demarquo Anthony Starks showed off a gun during lunch break. This was not on school property.
He later showed the gun off on school property at the end of the day.
The school district found out about this Thursday morning and began investigating.
Stark was arrested Thursday with no weapon on him. Starks was charged with carrying a loaded weapon into school, which is a felony. He was also charged with a misdemeanor crime of receiving stolen property.
The school district said the gun was not loaded, but two students told police it was loaded when Starks showed it off.

The two juveniles are also in custody. The guns have been recovered.
The school sent a letter home to parents Friday.
