(KMOV) – Police say carbon monoxide was to blame for four people were found dead in St. Clair, Missouri on Thursday.

Authorities said co-workers became worried when 27-year-old Ryan Yoder didn't show up at work for days, so they went to his house to check on him. When they arrived to the house they found Ryan inside the house on the floor.

Police were called and once inside the home, they found the bodies of 29-year-old Angela Sohn and Yoder's two children, 4-year-old Devin Yoder and 3-year-old Tessa Yoder

Family members told police they last spoke to Ryan Tuesday. Ryan complained that he and Angela were feeling sick and nauseous.

The St. Louis County Medical Examiners Office said preliminary autopsy results are found to be consistent with Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
