(KMOV) – A News 4 viewer outraged by the violence in the city has created a short film, hoping to inspire change and a positive course of action.
The movie is called Osi, and was filmed in north St. Louis.
It’s about a tough guy’s journey to straighten out his life.
At one point, he even pulls out a gun, but chooses not to use it.
Filmmaker Kevin Coleman grew up in north St. Louis to a teenage mother and no father.
He says he made a choice to walk away from crime and violence and get an education.
He says he hopes his film sends a positive message.
