(KMOV) – St. Louis will not be getting a new casino after all.

The Missouri Gaming Commission met in Jefferson City on Wednesday morning and announced that Cape Girardeau will get a casino license.

This license was the only gaming license left in the state of Missouri. It was made available when the President Casino in St. Louis closed its doors.

St. Louis would have gained 600 jobs and $11 million a year in revenue if the casino license would have been given to the city.
