COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri's Chase Daniel set a school record by completing 20 straight passes Saturday against Buffalo.
Daniel tied Kent Kiefer's 1990 record of 15 earlier this season against Southeast Missouri State.
The record run included a 27-yard touchdown pass to Danario Alexander in the third quarter. It ended when he missed on a pass to Jeremy Maclin on 4th-and-1 midway through the third quarter.
The NCAA record is 23 straight completions, shared by Tee Martin of Tennessee in 1998 against South Carolina and Aaron Rodgers of Cal in 2004 against Southern California.
Daniel also broke the Big 12 record of 18 straight completions by Iowa State's Seneca Wallace in 2001 and Oklahoma's Tech's Sam Bradford last season.
