(KMOV) -- Phase 2 of the Highway 40 reconstruction project is about two months from getting started.
This time MoDot will shut down the stretch between I-170 and Kingshighway for a year and the Missouri Department of Transportation wants to make sure you're ready for the second phase.
Gateway Constructors sent out thousands of construction updates to people living near the next area of construction suggesting they attend one of two meetings about it.
Every lane between I-64 between I-170 and Kingshighway will be shut down as they do the same kind of work on the eastern half of 64 as the western half.
The first phase has gone well.
People have adapted with no major headaches.
But those involved in Phase 2 said don't assume we're going to have an easy repeat.
Here's your chance to get your specific questions answered.
There's a public open house Wednesday evening at the Science Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then one Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Richmond Heights at the Heights Community Center.
Gateway Constructors and MoDOT highly recommend you attend one of them if this shutdown is going to affect you and it likely will.
