(KMOV) -- A new chapter to the Missouri school transfer debate will happen Tuesday when students from the Parkway District travel to Normandy to have a student discussion about the transfers.
The groups of students have been video conferencing about the topic since February. Tuesday will mark the first time the groups meet face to face.
District officials say the group’s previous discussions focused on the accreditation process and the legislative impact on education.
The dialogue started as part of an initiative through Education Plus (formerly Cooperating School District) aimed at fostering student dialogue on the education issues they are experiencing first-hand.
During the visit from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., Parkway students will tour the Normandy campus, eat a lunch prepared by the school’s culinary arts students and continue their education discussions.
