(KMOV) – A former Washington University manager has been indicted on his alleged involvement in accessing unauthorized, protected financial information.
It was reported David Shen, 43, was employed with the Washington University Investment Management Company until 2011 when allegations of fraud began to surface.
The indictment alleges that after Shen left Washington University, he downloaded protected and sensitive financial information without authorization, and attempted to gain access to additional sources of information.
Shen was indicted on two felony counts of computer fraud and one count of wire fraud.
If convicted, Shen could spend a possible 40 years in prison.
