(KMOV) – Police are looking for a man who allegedly fondled a University of Missouri student near the Francis Quadrangle on Saturday.

Police believe the man is Khaled Salem, who was a visiting scholar in the university’s plants science division.

According to police, two female students were walking on campus when a man asked one of them to take a picture of him. The student agreed and the other female took a photo of them.

The students told police the man didn’t like the photo and requested another. That’s when he allegedly grabbed her buttocks and breast. The students then left the area.

Police investigated and determined the man was Salem, who reportedly had been asking other students to take photos with him.

Police say they are worried Salem, who is from the Middle East, may be fleeing the country after telling people about a family emergency.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 573-875-8477.
