(KMOV) – A $1 million competition is underway that could attract start-up businesses to St. Louis.
Arch Grants plans to give 20 companies $50,000 grants to help get their business venture rolling. The companies also receive free accounting services, legal help and tech support.
Out of the 46 finalists, about half are from outside the region. Those businesses will have to move to St. Louis to get the money.
Those wanting to watch demonstrations from the competing start-ups can attend the competition from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Public Library, located at 1301 Olive St.
Check out the Arch Grants’ website for more information on the event.
