(KMOV) -- Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out in a north St. Louis neighborhood Wednesday morning.

The fire started at a two-story home near the intersection of N. Euclid and Labadie around 7:15 a.m.

Several firefighters arrived on scene and found flames shooting from the upper levels of the home. Crews eventually got the blaze under control.

It was not immediately known if anyone was inside the house.

The cause is unknown.
