(KMOV.com) – Chilling 911 calls have been released from the day a deadly tornado hit Washington, Illinois.

Residents scrambled to call for help after an EF 4 tornado hit the town near Peoria.

It packed winds up to 200 miles per hour, killing two people and leveling hundreds of homes.

The mayor of Washington, Illinois expects several dozen homes to be rebuilt before next November.
