(KMOV.com) -- Police are investigating a shooting that happened near a gas station in north St. Louis Sunday morning.
Authorities said the victim had just left a bar and walked to a local gas station in the 2800 block of North Florissant around 2:15 a.m. when he heard a gunshot as he walked out of the gas station. Police said the 25-year-old male victim then felt pain in his leg.
The victim the called for his friend who he said lived close to the gas station, according to police. The friend heard the calls for help and then drove the victim to the hospital.
Police said the victim sustained a gunshot wound to his groin and is listed in stable condition.
