(KMOV) – An East St. Louis man is now being held on a $9 million bond after being arrested on a murder warrant for a fatal nightclub shooting in September.

Torcus Boone Sr., 42, was arrested Tuesday by authorities on a murder warrant issued by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney.

Early Tuesday morning, deputies with the Richmond County Georgia Sheriff’s Department arrested Boone at a residence in Augusta, Georgia.

According to authorities, Boone faces charges for the shooting death of Kenneth Richards, 20, of Cahokia, which occurred in the parking lot behind Denese’s Place in the 200 block of Collinsville Avenue in East St. Louis in early September.

Dameon Floore has also been linked to the shooting and remains in the St. Clair County jail on a murder warrant, investigators said.

Bond was set at $9,000,000.

Boone remains incarcerated in Richmond County until being transported to Illinois.
