(KMOV.com) – A St. Louis City school was forced on lockdown, but parents with children at the school were never notified.
St. Louis Public School officials told News 4 they put the procedure in place at Columbia Elementary on Thursday. The lockdown was called for when cops were called to address an irate parent on campus.
School officials said the kids were never in danger.
“Yes, as soon as possible,” a parent, who chose not to reveal her name, said. “Call us at home or work because that doesn’t make sense.”
School officials said they decide on a case-by-case basis whether to notify parents.
