ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A groundbreaking date has yet to be set for a long-awaited redevelopment project in St. Louis.
Developer Paul McKee told KMOX Radio during the winter that ground would be broken in June for his Northside redevelopment project. But so far, no date has been set.
Mayor Francis Slay says he doesn’t know when the project will begin. The massive redevelopment project would spend millions of dollars to transform a distressed area of north St. Louis.
A spokesman for McKee says an announcement about the project could be made within the next two weeks.
