(KMOV.com) – A former Hillsdale police officer who was already facing drug charges has been arrested for falsely impersonating an officer when stopped for a traffic violation.
According to court documents, Parrish Swanson was pulled over for speeding on April 29. Police say Swanson told the officer he was a police officer for the City of Hillsdale and displayed a badge. Swanson was not given a traffic citation.
It was later verified that at the time of the traffic violation, Swanson was no longer an officer.
In May, Swanson and another officer were indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin and attempt to distribute heroin.
