(KMOV) – Concerned parents in the Fox C-6 school district will get a chance to weigh in on the scandal at a public parent meeting Friday night.
The public meeting will allow parents to voice their concerns about the libel lawsuit over nasty comments which were made online by district officials.
Two parents told News 4 they were defamed on Topix.com after they posted comments critical of some of the district’s policies.
The district announced it had placed four employees on administrative leave Wednesday, among them district administrator Jamie Critchlow.
All of the employees will be paid while they are on leave. One parent said she would rather see that money spent elsewhere.
“My immediate concern is what kind of damage is this going to do for our budget”, said Nikki McClain a parent in the district, “What’s not getting the funding that it needs. My children’s school, the elementary lost staff members at the end of this year”.
The meeting will take place at 2085 Jennemann Lane in Arnold at 7 p.m.
