(KMOV.com) – The Chief of St. Ann Police told News 4 race is not a factor when officers pull over a driver.
The comments come after a new report from Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster, which said racial profiling among police in Missouri is a growing problem.
“I think it strikes me as appalling however, frustrating also. A lot of the police departments are really doing a professional very good job pulling people over," Chief Aaron Jimenez said.
Jimenez told News 4 his police department has a zero tolerance policy against racial profiling.
A lawyer from the Dalton law firm, who represents many clients pulled over by St. Ann police said clients do not bring up race when they discuss their case.
