(KMOV.com) – The St. Louis County Public Library is offering a summer meal program for students this summer.
The program is aimed at helping students who would have received free or reduced lunches at school.
“We just want people to know that they can come to the library throughout the summer and enjoy all the things that the library offers and while they are here the can have a free nutritious meal inside the cool weather,” said Gary Wells of Operation Food Search.
This is the first year for this type of summer program. Last year, the USDA summer meals programs served more than seven million meals nationwide.
