(KMOV.com) – Authorities have filed charges against a teenager accused of setting three vehicles on fire in Florissant.
Adam Grant, 19, was charged Sunday with three counts of knowingly burning.
Authorities say Grant set two cars on fire in the 3100 block of Cross Keys Place around 5 a.m. Saturday. Police say he then set fire to a van parked outside a day care facility in the 13700 block of New Halls Ferry Rd.
Florissant police spokesman Andy Haarmann says detectives found keys at the site of one of the crimes and tracked down their owner, Grant, thanks in part to a rewards tag attached to the key chain.
Grant has also been accused of setting cars on fire in Granite City.
He was taken into custody and remains in the St. Louis County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
