(KMOV) – Children between the ages of 10 and 19 are more likely to be shot and killed in the city of St. Louis than any other city except New Orleans.
Statistics compiled by the Centers for Disease Control found 50 shooting deaths among teens for every 100,000 residents. That’s 10 times the national average, and three times the average for big cities.
The gun death rate for all ages in St. Louis is the sixth highest in the country.
