(KMOV) – A man is charged in connection to the death of a 77-year-old woman who was found in her Lincoln County home Monday morning.
William "Bill" Galvin was charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
Investigators say Galvin called 911 Monday morning to report a burglary and Bonnie Brown's death at a home on Sweet Street between Troy and Winfield.
Police found evidence of forced entry, yet say Galvin is the one and only suspect. They wouldn't say whether anything was taken.
The initial autopsy results showed Bonnie Brown died of strangulation.
The scene is still marked off with police tape outside the trailer Brown shared with her daughter and Galvin, described by family as the daughter's boyfriend.
Neighbors say the three had only lived in the trailer about a year and that Brown could often be seen outside with her dogs.
There's been no hint of a possible motive. Her granddaughter says Brown did not have a lot of money, but would have just received her disability check.
Galvin is held on a $250,000 bond.
