BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOV) –- A manager at a Bridgeton grocery store was shot in the leg Friday night when three armed male suspects between the ages of 17 and 20 reportedly held up the store at gunpoint, officials say.

This happened at the El Zocalo Fine Mexican Groceries and Liquors in the 3700 block of McKelvey Road around 8:30 p.m.

According to authorities, the three suspects entered through a side door and forced everyone in the store to the front. The store manager made an attempt to fight back, and was then shot in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the suspect fled on foot with their faces concealed. No description of the suspects is available at this time.
