(KMOV) – Some health-conscious Americans want to buy organic foods for their diets, but it might not be in the budget.
If you only have enough cash to but a few organic products, experts say the most important foods are fruits and vegetables with thin or porous skins. This includes peaches, apples, berries or bell peppers.
Produce with protective peels like bananas, melon or avocadoes might not be worth the cash.
Also, watch out for processed foods that can be labeled as organic with just 70 percent organic ingredients.
