ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A West County firefighter says he was scammed by a man accused of ripping off firefighters in the name of charity.
Earlier this year, James Adam Jenkens was in St. Louis selling a business plan. Jenkens sold Kerry Tebbe on a plan to sell beef stick products and giving some of the proceeds to charity. Tebbe thought his $2,500 was buying distribution rights to sell beef sticks in West County. Tebbe says Jenkens company, Brothers Keepers, known as BK Premium Products was supposed to supply the beef, but after Tebbe got the first few shipments, the supplies stopped coming and Jenkens stopped taking his calls.
