(KMOV) – Honda is expanding its recall on vehicles.
The car maker is now asking more than 800-thousand owners to take their car into local Honda dealers to have the driver's side airbag evaluated.
Officials with the company say some models may have faulty airbags and that the safety device can inflate with too much force, causing injury or death.
So far, Honda estimates that nearly 2,500 faulty airbags were installed, but has not been able to determine which vehicles need to be checked out.
Some models included in the recall are the 2001 and 2002 Accord and Civic, 2002 Odyssey, 2002 and 2003 CR-V, 2002 and 2003 Acura 3.2 TL and 2003 Acura 3.2 CL.
