(KMOV)--The School District of Clayton, Clayton High School Green Club and the Clayton Century Foundation collaborated in leading the first Go Green Clayton 5K on Saturday.
The Go Green Clayton 5K’s objective is to promote healthy living, community pride and a greener Clayton.
The event kicked off at 8 a.m. as participants stated at Centene Stadium at Gay Field and ran through the streets of Clayton.
Proceeds will benefit the CHS Green Club and the Clayton Century Foundation.
The Green Club has chosen to donate its funds to the National Wildlife Federation Oil Spill Restoration Fund.
The CCF is a non-profit organization that supports quality of life initiatives in the City of Clayton ensuring that Clayton remains a city with charm and character, a vital economy and a vibrant cultural life.
