CHICAGO (AP) -- Illinois Gov. Patrick Quinn saw a slight increase in his salary from last year, according to his state and federal tax returns.
Quinn earned about $157,340 as governor, an increase of about $2,000 from 2009. In addition, the governor reported withdrawing $50,000 from a pension plan.
According to returns released Friday, Quinn paid about $39,314 in federal income taxes and $4,395 in state income taxes last year. He reports paying about $3,605 in property taxes on his home, and donating about $17,421 to charity.
Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon released her tax returns last week. They show her income dropped by nearly one-third from $153,000 to $109,933 last year, when she ran for office.
Returns show the Simons owed $14,128 in state and federal taxes and donated nearly $2,000 to charity.
